The ABC Fund was founded in 1991. It's purpose was to encourage children to raise funds to bring a smile to other children. The money was to provide treats for these children.
Starting in a small way we bought pantomime tickets, Christmas food hampers which we still do to this day only on a much bigger scale.
We also bought in vouchers, provided equipment for holiday play schemes, 1500 colouring books and crayons for the hospital as well as trauma teddies for the ambulance service.
As our funds grew, so did our activities. We bought in more pantomime seats, increased the number of food hampers and enjoyed many more days out.
Today we are a small and voluntary team raising funds and organising many activities for children.

“We also do a nature trip every summer run by The ABC Fund where the kids get to explore in the woods – sit around a campfire and may other things they don’t experience in their urban surroundings. These are very special days as the kids absolutely love it. We have also been given panto tickets in the past and received Xmas hampers or our poorest families every year. I cannot count how many times The ABC Fund has made our users smile – but dealing with them has been the fun part of my job and I will be eternally grateful”
