The ABC Fund was founded in 1991. It's purpose was to encourage children to raise funds to bring a smile to other children by providing them with treats.
Starting in a small way we bought pantomime tickets, Christmas food hampers which we still do to this day only on a much bigger scale.
We also bought in vouchers, provided equipment for holiday play schemes, 1500 colouring books and crayons for the hospital as well as trauma teddies for the ambulance service.
As our funds grew, so did our activities. We bought in more pantomime seats, increased the number of food hampers and enjoyed many more days out.
Today we are a small and voluntary team raising funds and organising many activities for children.

One of our first families who are still in touch
Myself and our Families can never thank The ABC Fund enough for the amazing experience of a pantomime, meeting real characters afterwards!! And the incredible hampers, many families wouldn’t have the treats they were given at Christmas if it wasn’t for The ABC Fund!

We have been given panto tickets and received Xmas hampers for our poorest families every year. I cannot count how many times The ABC Fund has made our users smile – but dealing with them has been the fun part of my job and I will be eternally grateful”
