ABC Fund News for 2021 So Far

Since lockdown, many of our activities were affected. We have still been able to support our families, giving children things to look forward to. Click through for a summary:

Hamper Packing

As usual we will be busy packing 100 Christmas food hampers for distribution to local families.

Poppy – A Very Special Girl

Due to her condition, Poppy is in isolation, so we sent her a surprise parcel!

CO-OP Local Community Fund

We are delighted to announce that we have been awarded £6,253.98 nevertheless. This is an old photo of a CO-OP event as we couldn’t get one this year.

School Summer Holiday

We bought in enough vouchers to send 53 families to Drusillas Park, Knockhatch Adventure Park, Fishers Farm or Brighton Palace Pier for a fun day out!

Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital

We were able to deliver our poorly Teddies to be looked after by a little person who knows and has the same procedure.

During lockdown we have been able to handover 140 colouring books each with a pack of crayons to the Play Team for their young patients.

Wokingham Half Marathon

Peter Jones Housemaster Stud House, Bede’s Senior School set out to raise £500 for his first half-marathon. Not only did he complete the course he raised over £2,000 thanks to his many sponsors.

Coffee Morning

We were invited by Neville Lodge Retirement Home, Peacehaven to a very successful coffee morning raising nearly £150.

Winter Soltice

This event was delayed due to inclement weather, we had to move indoors and change the venue with two days’ notice. The Good Companions pub came to our rescue and we still managed well attended event.
